"Hi All, Happy Easter! I thought I would pass on a fantastic find I made recently. I was looking for someone to do a professional set up on my new Gretsch Streamliner. It turned out that my dentist (who I have known for over 15 years) builds electric guitars and will also do set ups and repairs. Anthony initially did a straightforward set up on the Gretsch and the difference in the action and tuning was amazing. I was so pleased I asked him if he wanted to have a look at my vintage Burns. Essentially this has been hanging on the wall for probably 50 years as I first played it in my school band in 1965. It became virtually unplayable and almost impossible to tune or even turn some of the tuning pegs! Anyway I gave it to Anthony who I think enjoyed the challenge. At that point I felt I didn’t want to invest too much cost into this but Anthony was very happy to approach it with this in mind. As he put it, “to take a pragmatic and conservative approach …… minimal intervention with as much improvement as we can squeeze out of it” As you can imagine with the dentist his attention to detail is superb. He sent a few emails along the way with various bits of information. I have copied over some snippets below to give you a feel of his approach. From having a guitar that was nice to look at with some nice memories but not much else I now have another electric guitar I can tune and play which is simply incredible. I cannot recommend Anthony enough and I did find him very reasonably priced. If you have anything that needs looking at or you would like to have a guitar built (please see some examples in the PDF’s attached) I don't think you will be disappointed. Anthony’s email address is as follows:"

Mike brought me in a Gretsch Streamliner that wouldn't stay in tune and a wonderful old vintage Burns solid body electric. He bought this guitar of a friend back in 1964. There was a lot going on with it and I had to completely take it apart and go from scratch. The result was worth it. It was great to see Mike so pleased. In lieu of a review he dropped an email to his Bristol based musicians network!
